Neglected by his first owner he was given a new life by Torz, who named him Gore Paw because of his long sharp claws that his previous owner failed to cut.
The night before he was rescued, he was bitten by a Vampire bat.
At his new home he was lucky to encounter a whole new group of friends. They helped him to fight off the Vampire and his crew in a second encounter.
He never became a full Vampire but retained some of their traits including the ability to fly, super strength and immortality.
