The first book introduces Gore Paw, the Skinny Pig Vampire. We meet Torz, his rescuer, and a host of house animals, including Trevor, a talking boar’s head, Merlin the Magician, King Aruther, a gangster hamster, squirrel crusaders, a mercenary fox and a boxing rabbit.
During a battle against the Red Bat Gang, a group of nasty vampire bats, Gore Paw is bitten by their leader. Thankfully, he is not turned into a full vampire but gains super strength, the ability to fly and the gift of immortality.
